Not showing in footer widget

Hey almostmadison,

It looks like you don’t have any footer widgets set up currently. Did you end up removing the text widget when it didn’t look like you were hoping? If you did remove it, could you add it back so I can take a look?

If this is what you’re seeing when you try to add a footer widget, could you try adding another widget just to make sure the theme is functioning properly?

Do you currently have the shortcode added anywhere on your site? If not, does adding the shortcode to a new page or post produce a feed?

I do- it’s in the widget description box, where it’s always been. This worked fine for over a year and then stopped. I’ve let it sit for a long time. I’ll test a new page

I think I missed it the first time since now I see where you have the shortcode entered.

The shortcode will only work in a plain “text” widget under most circumstances. You can program another widget type to execute short codes but it does not appear that your existing widget can do so.

Try replacing your widget with a text widget with the shortcode inside.

Hey Craig, okay I got the widget to show up, but I still can’t get it to go from all the way from the left to the right, and not just in one Footer widget section. Can you help me figure that out? Thanks!

You can add this CSS to the “Custom CSS” area to change how wide your theme’s footer widgets are:

footer .widget-column {
    width: 100%;
}
