Not show some pages in navbar

I had a person install wordpress on my hosted site last week. He used Kubrick theme. On the navigation bar each time I create a page it will list it. Is there a way to not have it listed?

Also I noticed when I try to use for eg: page tabs on top they do not line up correctly. Can I have some of these pages not be listed in tabs?
