    Hey there,

Please help me get rid of/resolve the “not set” value for landing pages in Google Analytics. I’m using the universal property tag for “Stories” ( since web stories do not yet support the new GA property) and the same tag for “blog content views”. In other words, I get statistics for both on the same tag, meaning the statistics are combined.

The problem is “not set” value , I got this notification from Analytics “Bad Event Tracking Code” today, and I need guidance to solve this problem.

  • Hi @yourjayanth thanks for getting in touch. The Web Stories plugin allows you to place a UA Analytics code as you mentioned for your Web Stories. I can happily check your site to ensure this has been placed correctly if you can provide your Site Health information via this private form.

I would also recommend checking this page at the Analytics Help Center which gives more information on this.

    Hello Adam,

I submitted my “site health information” to your form. You should have already received it.

Let me know as soon as you find this error, or if there is anything I should do. In the meantime, I’ll check the Analytics Help Center to find out what the problem is.

@yourjayanth Thank you for the information. I can see that you have a UA Analytics code placed on your site but that it might be disabled. Why this is I am not so sure but one thing you could check here is if there is a plugin or theme conflict that could be causing this.

You can use our Using Troubleshooting Mode guide to check for any potential conflict that could be causing this.

Due to this message displaying in your Analytics account we are limited on the support we can provide in this case as this falls out of the scope of the Web Stories plugin. I would advise at this point to contact the Analytics help team via the help center where they should be able to assist you further.

I’m not sure what you mean by “maybe it’s disabled”. Without it, I would not be able to see traffic data in Google Analytics. But I can see it all anyway.

Do you think MonsterInsights could be causing this issue?

Because that’s how my google analytics is connected to my website.

@yourjayanth In some cases other plugins can conflict with your Analytics code placements and block/disable them. I would suggest trying to disable your other plugins one by one leaving MonsterInsights enabled and checking back to your Analytics each time to see if the message clears.

If this doesn’t help you could try disabling the MonsterInsights plugin and try the Site Kit plugin to place your Analytics snippet to see if you notice any difference.

Hope this helps and let me know how it goes.

Turns out “Analytics has now marked the issue as (resolved)”

THANK YOU for your assistance anyway!
