What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

Hey, Thank you for taking the time to respond. I can really use some help here. I did disable a few plugins and tested them but at the time it was middle of the day and didn’t want to mess up the site. We didn’t build it and my client won’t let me build him a new one. for some reason he really likes it I guess. here is the plugin list.

Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced)
    All In One WP Security

    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    Disable Comments
    Enable Media Replace
Glue for Yoast SEO & AMP
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
Honeypot for Contact Form 7 (disabled)
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Really Simple Click To Call
    Really Simple SSL
    Redirection
    Regenerate Thumbnails
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore
    W3 Total Cache
    WP Mail Logging

    WP Rollback

    WP SEO Structured Data Schema
    Yoast Duplicate Post
    Yoast SEO
Most of these I am familiar with and use them with your forms on other sites. I disabled WP mail logging, disable comments, and all in one wp security before and that didn’t work.

I’m at my wits end and this guy is furious (extremely analytical). I’m trying to get this thing working as fast as i can.

I just disabled everything and did a test and still didn’t work. (just a heads up)

Oh, and another thing. It seems that I can send when I am logged into the site.

maybe related to this option (try to disable)

    WP Security Miscellaneous Settings
WP Rest API: Enable it if you want to stop REST API access for non-logged users/requests.

I gave that a shot Erik, didn’t work. I also disabled the app completely and that didn’t help.

From personal experience I can tell you this is the case where wp_mail cannot send the mail, you could try with a smtp plugin (so that you can at least verify the functionality by sending test mails).

I think we are on the same page here. I’m guessing that the host that built the site (same company) have the hosting structured to use a different configuration then what most hosts like godaddy or hostgator use for the website email. Either to save bandwith or to add additional fees. Correct assumption?

yes your assumption is correct, in addition because some advanced functions for security reason because not every site need them so are disabled until you ask.

But, for example, HostGator reports on the error log errors like this.

Some hosts blocks websites functions, disable php module etc. You may check with “site health” for example if the needed php modules are available.

in any case, sometimes the solution is to contact your host, they most likely know why…
