Before I posted this support request, I did review the documentation: https://mattplugins.com/docs/how-to-test-converter-for-media-plugin

Following the instructions to see if I there was ‘webp’ being applied to any ‘jpg’ and ‘png’ images, there are no conversions. Yes, I’m aware that if the .webp is larger than the original image, .wepb will not be delivered:

If the converted image in WebP or AVIF format is larger than the original, the browser will use the original file. This converted file will be deleted. Therefore, you can also see files other than WebP and AVIF on the list. When this happens, you will be informed during the image conversion process.

So I ran a little experiment of my own: I took the original file (not the .jpg) and saved it as a .webp and was able to reduce the file size by 20k and not lose any quality. So I’m confused how the plugin couldn’t do it automatically and yet I was able to do it manually?

    Appreciate some insight.

    Thank you.
