I’m getting this message “You need to set up saved tabs in order to apply them to your products.” when uploading via WP All Import. Obviously, I’ve tried to setup some tabs prior to uploading new products. I’ve created global tabs and product tabs. Nothing seems to get it working.

    Hi @mike_oberdick,

Can you confirm that the site you’re trying to import your products to – your destination site – has at least one Saved Tab? I can’t imagine this message displaying on accident as it does a simple check for whether you have have at least one global tab or not.

    Thanks,
    Kevin.

Is there a difference between a saved tab and a global/product tab? I’m running this on a sandbox site on WP All Import. Would that lead to this issue? I also tried to search for that error message in the code of the plugin on the Github repository and couldn’t find it anywhere. I thought if I could see what was triggering it that I could troubleshoot.

A saved tab is any tab created on the Custom Product Tabs screen – not one defined in the product edit screen. The “Global” tabs you’re talking about are saved tabs. The error message is coming from the add-on plugin, Custom Product Tabs WP All Import Add-on. Running this on a sandbox should not affect anything as long as at least one saved tab is defined.
