Not saving Location data with WPML

    I can’t save location data with the event. I’m using WP with WPML so this may be the problem.

    Actions:

    Create event, set a location with the address finder/map. Map displays with a pin and bubble correctly.

    Update the event. Map disappears, tick reappears in This event has no physical location.

    Redo everything, same result.

    Add the location via Events > Location. Back to the event and find the event with the autosuggest. Update and same result.

    Change the settings from autosuggest to drop down/select menu.

    Open the event, select the location, update, same result.

    Translate the location so that 2 versions exist of each language to match the 2 versions of the event. Update, and same result.

    I updated the plugin but it made no difference.

    After updating to WP4.0 I couldn’t select the location from the select box/dropdown.

    After translating the location to match the event language (again, after I deleted the previous), I’m back to square one.

    this works for me, can I know if you also installed EM and WPML Compatibility Plugin ?

    Yes, sorry should have mentioned that.

    I’ve just installed another site with both plugins and it works fine.

    Although I noticed that it’s ticked by default in the broken site and not in the working site.

    Is there a setting that I may have disabled somewhere? I’ve trawled through most of the EM settings and locations and maps are enabled.

    I have the same problem. Were you able to figure this out after all?

    No.

    It was not a major problem so I left it in the end.

    I had another look now and the location search is broken too. This is probably another part of the problem.

    Sorry I can’t be of any help.
