Not saving cropped featured images

hi txie,
the plugin requires the same permissions for the uploads folder that the WP core itself requires.
Please make sure that your uploads folder is writable by the web server user.
If that’s already the case, please verify if the automatically cropped images are saved, if not, there might be something wrong in the WP installation: turn off all the plugins and check if the problem persist, then re-activate one plugin at the time to check which one is causing conflicts in saving the images.
