Not saving changes after update

  • Friend is having difficulty with a simple wordpress site we built for her. She has not edited any pages since the 4.8 update, and now when she does log in to the dashboard and edit a page, the changes won’t save. She can preview the change but pressing “Update” does not save and publish the change.

    The new twist on this common problem is that I can edit and save changes on my end from any number of devices or different networks, but she cannot save her changes on her company network.

    I’ve upped her user credentials to Administrator, switched her off IE to Edge (since 4.8 I saw that no longer supports IE), updated all plugins, etc. Still nothing.

    Could it be an overly aggressive firewall on her network?

    One of the possible reason can be mod_security blocking IP.

    Check .htaccess file if there is anything suspicious with mod_security.c
