    Hi @holidaystory17

Our plugin supports restore/migration to a subdirectory site.

Could you please be more specific on the problem? Like an error message or the restore log if any? You can find the log under the wp-content/wpvividbackups folder using FTP or file manager, the name is wpvivid_restore_log.txt.

    1. I Have created a subfolder and install wp and vivid again in that subfolder-site and backup of both site( main and sub) individually.

    2. Then I install xamp in a laptop after I install wp and vivid and restore my main site backup.

    3. The main site is running perfectly now.

    4. Now I create a subfolder inside the public_htmp of my main site and install wp.

    5. lastly install vivid and try to restore the sub-site. REstoration is successful. But All 2 sites are down in the laptop. Nothing can access now.

    Hi @holidaystory17

    Thanks for the details.

    The procedure sounds correct.

So now, could you also suggest:

    1. In which folder of the live main site you created the subfolder?

    2. What’s the exact error message for “Nothing can access now”

    3. Are there any errors recorded in the php error log?

    1. Under the Public_html my main site running. The subfolder is public_htmm/BN

    2. “Nothing can access now” – means, my restored main site and the child site both can not accessible after restore the “subfolder site” in the laptop. Previously the main site is running fine after restored from the backup.

    3. Help me to get / read the log file.

    Hi @holidaystory17

Okay, so now it is recommended that you set up a new standard WP install without creating a subdirectory site, and then upload the backup of the live subdirectory site to the new WP to restore and see whether the site is good after the restore.

The log resides in \xampp\apache\logs\error.log by default.
