Hi there, great finally to find the right pop-up plugin ??

However, I’d like the content of my pop-up to be responsive but it seems it’s not built that way?

When viewing the pop-up on a smaller desktop screen, and the settings are set to full width and height (automatically disabling scrolling), I cannot see the buttoms in the bottom of the pop-up.

If it were responsive the plugin should:

    1) be able to set the pop-up size as a percentage to the screen and not pixels,
    2) scale the text/image inside the pop-up until given break points AND then
    3) display the scrollbar when the content doesn’t fit into the pop-up.

I hope you understand the problem.
    Thx.

@jenzgaard In most cases, you will have to make a mobile version for the popup. From the bottom of the editor, click the “Mobile” icon. Then create a mobile version for your popup, just like you made the desktop version of the popup.

By default, if you did not build a mobile version for the popup, Brave will automatically scale down your popup. Which may make the text very small. That’s why we suggest you to create a mobile version for your popup.

Just checked your site on a mobile device and not seeing the popup. Did you make the popup visible only to Desktop users from the Popup settings section? or is it not showing up itself?

Please let us know if you are unable to make a mobile version of your popup.
    Thanks

Hi, thank you very much for a swift reply.

It should be active and on all devices (checked on 3 portables)?

I have not made a mobile version – will do asap.

It also does not center on screen (setting: pop-up layout)?

    Thx.

@jenzgaard Ok, looks like you are using full width and full height popup settings. When you do that, the whole popup is stretched to fit the screen and the “center position” settings does not make any sense in this case.

What you should do is, set a fixed width and height. For your case, the width should be 805px and height 670px. Its the dimension of the image you are using as a background.

Instead of using an image element, set your popup background, go to Popup Style > Background > Background Image. and then you can remove the Image element you are using.

Please don’t hesitate to ask any further questions ??

Hi Brave, many thanks for your useful tips and tricks and most of all, your quick reply.

I’ve done all your suggestions. When resizing the browser window (smaller) the pop-up does not change size. Also not when reloading. It’s not then possible to click on the 3 links below in the pop-up since the scroll bar in the browser only moves the page in the background.

Shouldn’t it either get smaller in order to see the whole pop-up or make the scroll bar automatically visible?

@jenzgaard The popup will not resize when the browser window is resized.
Responsiveness does not actually mean the elements are resized automatically on along with the browser window.

There are 2 types of responsiveness:
    1. Elements resize along with the browser window.
    2. Elements do not resize with browser window. Instead, a mobile version of the elements are served only when the visitor is using a mobile to visit the website and the desktop version when the visitors visits the site using a desktop. Brave uses this method.

Just checked your popup and it looks perfect on both desktop and mobile devices and the links are working fine as there are no scrollbars anywhere.

If you are still having this issue, can you please let us know what device you used when you saw the scrollbars. And possibly share a screenshot of the issue?

    Thanks

@jenzgaard Can you kindly update? Are you still having this issue?

    Thanks

Your method of implementation in regard to responsiveness results in a pop-up which cannot be viewed correctly. Please try to resize the browser window and you’ll see that it hides part of the pop-up.
When making even smaller the mobile version size goes into effect which is fine. But apparently there’s a size between full and mobile which makes it impossible to read. Please view this screenshot: brave responsiveness link
The scrollbar visible works for the site itself, not the pop-up up.

Ideally, I guess, the pop-up should resize to a certain extent and/or then enable scrollbars in the pop-up. Alternatively, I would have to make the desktop pop-up as small as the mobile version in order to make it viewable in all window sizes but that would then miss the point of making a desktop version ??

@jenzgaard Thanks for the update. In the next version we will add new functions so that the popups automatically resize between mobile and desktop mode. The new version will be out within the next 3 days.

Wow, that’s just great. Looking forward to implement.
Very useful and much appreciated. Many thanks for your responsiveness.

@jenzgaard Just pushed the new version. Can you please test and let us know if the responsiveness working as expected in the new version.

Hello, just tested on a few pc’s. It looks very good in most cases. However, on a laptop with a screen resolution of 1920×1080, MS WIN, viewed in Chrome v83 the popup is only partly visible: image2

@jenzgaard Are you talking about this image: https://claudiacarrara.dk/wp-content/uploads/image003.jpg , Its a screenshot of a resized window, correct? If it is, can you kindly let us know the what is the dimension of the resized window. And does your website visitors usually resized their window to that size, or is it just for test purpose?

    Plugin Author Brave

    (@getbrave)

@jenzgaard And also, can you kindly refresh the page after resizing the window?

    Thread Starter Brogaard

    (@jenzgaard)

Yes, that’s the one. Aren’t the measurements just the dimension properties of the image? And yes, you’re right, I have no idea if there is user out there doing nonsense ?? But when testing I found that glitch.
All in all, your code and plugin is through your latest changes nearly perfect and much more usable ??

Great! So we can mark this issue resolved? ??
