Not renaming to specific name

  • Hello.

    I had some problems uploading several images to a website where some files got their name renamed wrong, I don’t know why. And used your plugin to rename them, so far so good. That solved my problem.

    But I encountered a file with name FILENAME_.jpg that I tried and couldn’t rename it to FILENAME.jpg . Everytime I tried to do it with your plugin it was named FILENAME-1.jpg

    Do you have any suggestions that I could look up to find out what could be preventing to rename the files?

    Hi @rafaelzrt,
    the suffix -1 is attached when a file with the same name is already present in the destination folder and the option “Serialize filename if file exists” is active.

    If you disable the option and a file with the same name is already present, Phoenix Media Rename will notify it.
