I am having an issue where after successfully validating a URL and reviewing all of the invalid markups, it shows an error on on the AMP tool when viewing the page and says that the URL needs to be validated and that there are issues that need to be reviewed.

It gives the message “The rechecked URL is free of non-removed invalid markup.” on the review page, then I follow the link to the amp page and it flags it with the yellow exclamation point.

This is on many pages across the site.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Thanks for reaching out. When you mention you’re using the AMP tool and there are issues to be reviewed is this within the admin toolbars AMP tab or are you using another tool? While usually this may be in related to unreviewed validation errors if you’ve already checked this can you confirm that you updated the “AMP Validated URL” screen for that specific URL?

If you’re checking the Google AMP validator you may notice some structured data errors, which are flagged with a yellow notification icon, I did notice this when checking the URL you provided.

Let me know of the above anyway and I’d be happy to investigate this further.

Yes the Google tool is what led me to the specific page, but the error I’m talking about is on the admin toolbar AMP tab. Yes it is after updating the AMP validated URL screen for the specific URL.

    Thank you for your help.

Thanks for the update. In that case if you want to to share a video or screen recording of your experience using a service such as Loom or Recordit we’d be happy to look into this.

Within the video please demonstate clicking on the “Validate URL” link within the AMP tab before then reviewing and updating that post. After doing so please open the same URL once more and check the AMP tab. If this is not updating I’ll try and recreate the same setup using a similar environment if you want to share your Site Health information via this form (which you can also use to share your screen recording)

    Thank you, I just submitted.

Apologies for the delayed response and many thanks for going to the trouble of sharing the screen recording, very useful to see what’s occurring. As you’re using some optimization and plugins with caching ability let me check this with the team and report back to you here.

In the meantime can you share if you encounter the same experience when using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin after logging into your site from a Chrome browser incognito window? We have the steps involved on the plugin website.

Alternatively you can temporarily deactivate your optimization plugins before checking once more, or suppressing these from AMP URLs. I’ll check this with the team in the meantime and report back to you here.

@annawells96 Thanks for your patience on this. I’ve spoken with the team and it would be great if you can perform the same action from a Chrome browser incognito window with your optimization plugins temporarily deactivated, this includes your lazy loading plugin.

Also note that the URLs themselves are AMP valid, it’s just the validation errors to be reviewed are not being updated.

Hi @annawells96 Checking in here – were you abel to run the test as @jamesosborne requested here, and are you still experiencing this issue?

@annawells96 As we haven’t received a response, I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist. Thank you!
