Not Receiving Points for Posting Status Update (New Activity Posts)

Is this normal? I noticed Mycred gives me points for doing just about everything, but not when posting a new activity on the main feed.

Is it possible for anyone to try on their end? Has this ever worked for main activity posts?

Im on the latest versions of the theme and plugin.
