Not receiving email notifications for new comments

  • Hello all,

    The last couple of articles I’ve posted have seemed to stop emailing me whenever a new comment is posted.

    I’ve checked the WordPress dashboard and the ’email me when anyone posts a comment’ box is checked, and I’ve also checked my email to make sure I didn’t mark it as spam or anything similar.

    It was all fine until recently so not sure what is exactly causing it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • I just started having this trouble today, and haven’t changed any settings. I hope there is an answer, I hate not knowing when someone has left me a comment.

    Same as me Samsnoggin, and as with you it’s a recent thing, only affecting the last couple of posts.

    As you mention it’s really frustrating not knowing when a comment has been made. Hopefully we get it resolved soon!

    Add me to the list too. Today, for some reason, I stopped getting emails notifying me of new comments.

    Is there a fix or explanation for this?

    For me, I never found a *fix*. I was however, using hotmail for my email, and when I changed everything in WP over to gmail, they immediately started coming through again.

    I have no idea why this started happening, as I had been using the hotmail account from the beginning. Hotmail also wasn’t letting Pinterest emails through.

    How odd, my notification emails are working fine again today. Maybe the script had a sick day!
