not receiving email from contact form

    I am using Twenty Eleven child theme and I am creating a website on MAMP local host.

    I have put the contact form into my page and set the email notification with my hotmail.co.uk email address, however when I fill the form out I don’t receive an email but it goes into the feedback section.

    I’ve tried different contact forms and I don’t receive emails any emails

  • I was having the same issue and found out that they were being sent to a different email address (the one that I had set up as email address under my user profile)
    Make sure that if you go to USERS ==> Your Profile
    and scroll down, the email under “contact info” is the same as the email you want to receive the notifications at.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

    Jetpack, like other contact form plugins, uses a function named wp_mail to send out emails. It’s the same function that is used by WordPress to send you comment notifications, or notifications about new users registering on your site.

    You can check if that function works properly by leaving a comment on your site and checking if you receive an email. Another alternative would be to use this plugin:

    Since you’re currently in a local environment, it’s possible that your local server was not configured to send out emails. This should help you out:
