I have created the pages that the plugin recommends and added these to the plugin settings.

I only have 1 level, a paid level. When the visitor goes to the Join Us page, they click on “Join” and are taken to PayPal to pay membership. This all is fine in sandbox mode.

Once payment is made, they are redirected to a page that asks them to “login” or “register”. Both of these links go to blank pages. The registration page has no content. No email is sent or received and they are not being redirected to a page that has any content. Should I have added a shortcode to those pages? I can’t see it in the documentation.

    The site is: bet value.com.au

    I’d really appreciate any help.

    Thanks

Hi can you please check the following documentation. This will help you further understand the registration process.

The above should also answer the following question.

Should I have added a shortcode to those pages?

Can you also enable Debug mode. Once you have carried out one of the registration process can you then check the log file.

Let us know if you need more help.

I’ve followed the documentation and everything is working except I am still not receiving the sign up email to get to registration.

Do you have PayPal IPN set up in your PayPal account? Can you also enable Debug mode. Then after a test can you check the log file.

    Thank you

    Thanks for your help.

I have enabled IPN in PayPal and will attach the log for you to see.

I am now getting the following message from PayPal when I try to sign in using one of my sandbox accounts.

    ————————————————————————-

Sorry – your last action could not be completed
If you were making a purchase or sending money, we recommend that you check both your PayPal account and your email for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.

If you came to this page from another website, please return to that site (don’t use your browser’s Back button) and try again.

If you came from PayPal’s website, click the PayPal logo in the upper-left-hand corner to return to the home page and try again. You might have to log in again.

We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

For some browsers, this problem can be resolved by clearing or deleting cookies.

    I have cleared cache.

I’ve enabled the debug mode but am just getting the message:

    [11/12/2015 9:06 PM] – SUCCESS : Log file reset

    on: https://betvalue.com.au/wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/log.txt

even though I’ve reset it already and have tried to complete 2 transactions on PayPal sandbox.

The link I am clicking is –

    – View debug log file by clicking here
    Thanks for your help.

Okay what happens if you carry out a transaction live?

I’ve contacted PayPal through the developers site to try to resolve the error message. I’ll see what they can do and then I’ll let you know and try a “live” transaction.

I really do appreciate all your help.

    Thanks

Ok, I have tested on “live” site and it is ok. I still cant’ get debug info but that’s ok, I guess.

I am getting PayPal’s payment notification emails but no emails from the plugin for the buyer to register. Admin is also not receiving emails when a transaction goes through.

I have noticed a lot of others having this issue. Any ideas?

    THanks for your help

Hi, if you can’t get debug info then there is a problem. Can you deactivate and reactivate the plugin? Then activate Debug Mode carry out a test and check the log file.

    Thread Starter goviral

    (@goviral)

Ok, I’ll try that – I’m also trying deactivating other plugins to see if there is any conflict.

I’ll also try to get a debug file to you.

Thanks again, you’ve been a huge help.
