Not receiving e-mails from Contact Form 7

  • Hi

    I hope this will be an easy/simple fix (not a very skilled user, sorry). I am currently not receiving any mails from the Contact Form 7 plug-in on my website. https://www.Battle-Crest.com/Contact

    I have WordPress 4.2.2 running with Tempera. No weird plugins or settings at all, it’s pretty basic and straight forward.

    My hosting and e-mail provider is GoDaddy.com and I will speak to them tomorrow (hopefully). I haven’t changed any of the standard settings in Contact Form 7 at all.

    Any ideas as to why I can’t recieve the emails supposedly sent from the plugin? They’re sending to either [email protected] or [email protected] just to name two of our test addresses.

  • Hi Battle Crest,

    What for kind email setting do you use? Email (default) or are you using Email 2? This is dependent for the solution.

    Maybe you have to look at the “to” and “from”. By to you will put your own email address and by from the emailadres of the sender (mostly like this [email] or something like that).

    I use always the default settings with the person in “to”. I put my own e-mailadres at the BCC at the first Email (not Email-2). This is like an autoresponder to your customer and you receive a copy of him/her message.

    Did you do some updates for plug-ins last week? Maybe it’s a conflict with other plug-ins of your theme. But anyway, your website is great!

    Hi Michael, thx for the quick response. I am just writing in the “Email” (default), haven’t even looked at the (2).

    It has nothing to do with updates, I actually never got it working (past few months) and forgot about it ??

    Thanks. Maybe you have to do the next to resolve your problem:

    Case 1
    To: Battle Crest <[email protected]>
    From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
    Subject: [your-subject] (or for example RE: [your-subject], up to you)
    Additional: (nothing)
    Message body: (what you want to get)

    Case 2 (autoresponder)
    To: [your-name] <[your-email]>
    From: Battle Crest <[email protected]>
    Subject: [your-subject] (or for example RE: [your-subject], up to you)
    Additional: BCC: [email protected]
    Message body: Your message what you want to send to the sender, but also the tags like at the top of the page ([your-name], [your-email], [your-subject], [your-message])
