Not receiving comment notifications

  • I’ve re-installed WP three times now and I’m still not receiving comment notifications. Is there a setting I’m missing somewhere? I have my correct email address in the options and comment notify set to “true”. Is there another setting?
    I’m able to receive comment notifications from my copies of Movable Type and pMachine on the same server, so I have no idea why I can’t receive them from this. :/ I’m running the latest build and all the old topics I found about this said this had been fixed ages ago.

  • Double check the admin email you have set in the options, and the email set in your user profile.

    Oh, so 1.01 has comment moderation? Apparently, mine isn’t working either.
    Allusion, I assume that you are suggesting that if the two emails are different then moderation won’t work… If so, I checked mine and they are the same. I also (unknowingly) have the setting to “true.” Not a big deal though, I get little comment spam.

    *Hits head* I’m so stupid! I had my email address under ‘admin_email’ but not in my actual profile. In fact I didn’t even spot the ‘My Profile’ option. I feel very silly now. ?? But thanks, I needed that pointer!
