First of all, the support ist ok for a “free” plugin.

The rest was really a waste of time. To use the cache function you need a Quic.cloud Account (where you get 1 GB data volume for free). The whole configuration was more or less complicate and after gettin it to work, the data volume was almosed used and the results at gtmetrix and pingdom were really poor.

After some hours the cache function wasn′t available anymore, and I got a mail with the friendly advice to buy new volume. Oops! free for me ist something very different! For me it seems, that the purpose of the whole construction is, to sell data volume for the CDN.

The optimization features maybe free, but plugins like autoptimize do that much better (I checked that). It obwiously works for many people, but I can′t recommend it.

Finally I bought a license for wprocket and the results at gtmetrix and pingdom are really good and it works like a charm. I have no problem to pay for good service, but I′m really unhappy with “free” offers of that kind.

    Hi, @wallpaperman

I’m sorry to hear you were unhappy with LSCache. But just to clarify, QUIC.cloud is not required in order to use the cache functions of the LSCache plugin. As mentioned on our plugin page, you need any one of the following: OpenLiteSpeed (free), commercial LiteSpeed products (free or paid, depending on license), LiteSpeed-powered hosting, or QUIC.cloud CDN (free up to a certain amount of usage, then paid).

So, there are definitely ways to get the full LiteSpeed experience without spending any money.

If you decide to give LSCache another try in the future, we would be happy to help you figure out why your Pingdom and GTMetrix results were poor. Feel free to open a support thread. It is probably a simple configuration issue.

    Cheers!

This was not a fair review – just as well ye get so many good ones from appreciative users ??

This review is a bit misleading because in order to utilize the LiteSpeed cache plugin correctly you need to be on a LiteSpeed Web Server which clearly the reviewer that left this negative review was not. When used correctly with a LiteSpeed Web Server nothing can beat this cache, not even WP Rocket!
