For some reason Wordbooker is not pulling fb page data. I can see in the logs that it is pinging them, but it is not populating anything except the group. These leaves only the group as an option and I can not access any of my pages to post to. Everything seems to be set up right and talking to FB it just can’t seem to retrieve the page data.

Any help you can offer to resolve this would be great. I love this plugin!

What are the names of the pages? If its not finding them then it could be that they’ve got characters that aren’t supported properly

The one I am trying to get is: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Camp-Out-Colorado/202431993132242. They pulled up fine before.

    Thread Starter IILLC

    (@iillc)

Looking around at some of my other sites they all seem to have the same issue. I think after last update Wordbooker is not pulling page titles or info up anymore. It says it connects fine and everything but it only pulls group info and fails to pull page info.

    (@steveatty)

I’m getting page info on my site, and on my test site. I might need you to login on there and set a session up so I can run some diagnostics on it.

    Plugin Author Steve

    (@steveatty)

Are you happy to do that – you’d need to leave a session authorised on my test system so I can then login as the same blog user and run a cache refresh or two so I can work out what is going on.

    Thread Starter IILLC

    (@iillc)

Ya I could do that if you could let me know how. I though the group might have been messing it up since it is a private group. But after changing it to every other setting and testing it did not make a difference.

It’s strange, the page name fields are blank. However, in one of the drop downs in settings it lists a bunch of blank entries. So it is getting most of it but for some reason the names are not coming through.

    go to https://blogs.canalplan.org.uk/development

    login in as developmment/developer1

and go to the wordbooker options page and authenticate fully. Once you’ve done that and you’re back at the Wordbooker options page can you let me know.

I am having the same problem. PLEASE help me.

What same problem? You’ve posted on a thread about page info not being pulled but then talk about comments.

If its to do with comment handling please start a new thread and post the Wordbooker support information.

    Plugin Author Steve

    (@steveatty)

Also include if you were using the WordPress comments or the Facebook comments box.

As that is the main page I don’t think comments ever appear on the front page – they only show on single post pages. Which is not something related to Wordbooker – its a feature of the template you are using.

I’m sorry I didn’t understand that you wanted me to auth your dev machine on my account. I apologize but I am not comfortable doing that. Is there anything else I can do to help you diagnose this?

I am not using any posting any comments back and forth. I am just using it to easily post website updates to multiple accounts for now. All of my sites are affected by this.

It’s odd. It seems to do everything fine but it does not pull the page names. It does find my group name fine.

I really can’t debug why those names aren’t appearing without putting debugs in the code to see what FB is returning and I can’t do that without having a session authorised by you running on my development system. I see that some of thouse pages are “hidden” on Facebook and some have “‘” in them but those aren’t known to cause problems.

    However this:

    Cache Refresh	2014-03-07 16:18:22	Setting Status Name as :	DDM's Realm	-
Cache Refresh	2014-03-07 16:18:22	Setting status as :	Mmmm Loots! Go get you some. :)	-

Cache Refresh	2014-03-07 16:18:23	Cache Refresh Complete for user	100001098742690	-

Looks odd. If you start a FB session in a new tab in your browser are you using Facebook as YOU or as DDM’s Realm ?

Make sure you are using FB as you and NOT a page when you authorise wordooker. To do this – make sure you are using FB as you then go back into your blog tag and click on Reset User Session.

    Thread Starter IILLC

    (@iillc)

I never thought about that. So I went back and made sure I was logged in on Facebook as ME and not DDM’s Realm page. Then I went through and refreshed my sessions and refreshed status and it still was showing the status of DDM’s Realm rather than the status for ME(Troy).

I’m still getting the same results as above. I will keep tinkering with it to see if I can find the issue. If you have any other ideas please let me know. Thanks for the help!

    Plugin Author Steve

    (@steveatty)

So you did a Reset and re-authed and it still did it?

Try going to your FB profile and removing Wordbooker from your list of authorised apps and then do a Reset on Wordbooker and re-auth and make sure that its showing you when you start the re-auth process.

    Thread Starter IILLC

    (@iillc)

OK I removed Wordbooker and then reset session. Those entries are still blank.

I did find that on the drop down for “Show Status For” there are enough selections for all of the pages. However, all are blank except the top selection, see HTML paste here.

    <label for="wb_status_id">Show Status for : </label>
    <select name="wordbooker_status_id" ><option selected="yes" value=-100>My Own Profile&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
    	<option value=FW:126044164078632>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:465249096844013>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:186307124744083>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:202431993132242>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:170595642985843>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:445200808860840>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:1483976335161277>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=FW:509146325795015>&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
        <option value=PW:100001098742690>Personal Wall&nbsp;&nbsp;</option></select><br />

So you can see here it pulls the pages but is not grabbing names. For DDM’s Realm Status this was on the blank entry that represented DDM’s Realm. That is why that status was different.

When I go to the drop downs to select which page I want to post the status to, all of the blank ones from this are missing. Here is what I see there.

    <label for="wb_primary_target">Post to the following Wall : </label><select id="wordbooker_primary_target" name="wordbooker_primary_target" >
    <option value=GW:1425877520963536>Fyxt Beta (1425877520963536)&nbsp;&nbsp;</option>
    <option selected="yes" value=PW:100001098742690>Personal Wall (100001098742690)&nbsp;&nbsp;</option></select>

So there are two issues. First it is not getting the names. Also, blanks are not translating. Even if the drop down was blank I could look at the page ID and use that to at least get it to work for now.

    Thanks for all your help!
