Not practical for large sites with lots of links

Broken Link Checker is able to handle sites with hundreds of thousands of links. It does take a little bit of time for all links to be scanned the first time, but after this initial period they are monitored continuously.

Can you share some more details with me with regard to the size of your site, the amount of links you approximately have and why the service felt slow to you? I’d love to look into this for you.

Hello, I bought the license and started AIOSEO Broken Link Checker. It found many broken links. However, I can’t remove these links. When I start a bulk action to remove broken links, nothing happens. The links are not removed. What could be the reason for this?

But to answer your question, the plugin can sometimes fail to remove links depending on how your post content is structured. If you’re using a particular page builder plugin for instance, then it may be that the plugin fails to remove the links because they are deeply embedded into the data structure of that plugin. In this particular case we recommend you to edit the post and remove the broken links manually.
