Not posting to FB

  • I have installed this and created a facebook app but I am not sure I understand it all. The fb app has the same namespace as the name of a fb group there seems to be no other configuration to identify the destination of the app. I have put the ap id in the plug in settings and using the shortcode it give me a checkbox to post on FB it asks me to confirm but nothing is posted to fb.

    Can anyone run throguh what I need to do to setup the facebook app? I can’t see how to associate it with the facebook page. Perhaps I am selecting the wrong options. FOr instance what is the “namespace” and what kind of app is it (website? if so is the site url my wp website?) I just can’t see how to associate a facebook page (group or business page) there seems to be nowhere to enter it. Googling elsewhere I see intructions to “add a platform” and “Select how your app integrates with Facebook’ at the bottom” but none of these seem to allow me to associate a fb page.

    I think I am misinterpreting terms and/or not making the right choice early on so not seeing what I need to. I have tried several facebook comment plugins and they are all the same in needing a correctly configured fb app but the only advice they give is to find the app id.

    Not a wp issue I know but can anyone help?
