• If half-stars were allowed, I’d rate Cost Calculator a 4.5. Since they’re not, I’m rounding up, and deservedly so.

After testing more than a dozen WordPress calculator plugins, it’s clear that Cost Calculator is the best in its class, particularly if you need to build your own calculations and your formulas are complex.

It’s not “perfect.” In my testing, the exponent function (^) did not work properly, requiring me to fall back on POW. I also wish there was more flexibility in formatting the Grand Total section (i.e., the summary of formula output). For instance, if the divider and HTML elements could be used to format the Grand Total section, Cost Calculator would become much more powerful/flexible.

Nonetheless, Cost Calculator beats the pants off of anything else on the market for my needs.

Hats off to Mike Jones and others I worked with on the support team. The pro support has been consistently friendly and responsive.

  • Hello @neuronimo,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review of Cost Calculator Builder! We greatly appreciate your feedback and are thrilled to hear that you found our plugin to be the best in its class for your needs.

I wanted to address your note about the exponent function (^) not working properly. Essentially, the “^” is the POW function. The calculator currently only recognizes the latter, which is why you encountered issues with using “^”. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.

Your insight regarding the flexibility of the Grand Total section formatting is invaluable! We’ll pass these suggestions along to our development team to consider for future updates.

Thank you again for your review and for choosing Cost Calculator!

    Kind regards,
