not optimizing images I uploaded

    For example, picture name ‘magic-cake6-test.jpg’, I can see all the different sizes are optimized, but the original are barely compressed (3.7%). Can you help?

    are you using lossy compression?

    oh, yes, Lossy JPG optimization and Lossy PNG optimization…does it matter?

    I uncheck them and optimize again, still get the same result……

    Also, it worked before, but I don’t know why now it’s not doing a good job now

    It’s doing as well as it can for lossless optimization. That’s just the way it works. It’s never a predictable amount, but can vary depending on all sorts of circumstances.

    There’s not anything to ‘tackle’. If you have metadata removal turned on, and you’re seeing savings, then the plugin is doing it’s job. If you want it to save even more, you can sign-up for the EWWW IO Cloud service and enable the lossy options at https://ewww.io/
