Hey team.. thought Id ask here re this Q. All my pages are showing an issue with Google search Says they are indexed but have issues and they are not mobile friendly.

    The reason says:
Text too small to read (but my text isn’t that small?)
    Clickable elements too close together

    Any ideas?

Link above is an example of a page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey Louise,

Thanks for getting in touch again!

It looks like the reason Google is thinking your text is small and your clickable elements are too close together is that it’s seeing your page without any styles applied:

If you dig into the details on that mobile friendly test it shows that Google was unable to load Siteground Optimizer’s combined CSS file which contains all of your font sizes, padding, margins, etc. Normal site visitors likely aren’t running into this issue (the CSS file loads fine), but it’s possible that your host is throttling requests from Google’s bot, which would cause this type of false positive.

You might reach out to your host for a more definitive answer on why some of Google’s requests are being blocked (18 out of 41 in the example I linked to).

    Hope this helps, thanks again!
