• After generating the static files, the only files it generates are pages, nothing in the posts. For instance, I use pages for almost everything and reserve posts for the news and blog.

It generated the main blog page, containing all the links to the blog posts, but it didn’t generate the specific blog posts. i went as far to install a sitemap generator that lists all of the pages, posts, categories… all with proper links. Thinking this would be obvious for your crawler to pick these up but it didn’t.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Same problem here :-(.

Latest version of WordPress, latest version of Simply Static.

Happens both with generating a zip file and saving to a local directory.

Figured it out: nothing to do with Simply Static, as when I went to the live (vs static) site the index page loaded fine, but then links to any posts did not work. Turned out to be that I’d not configured permalinks correctly (or rather, written the appropriate runes into my .htaccess file).

See the “Friendly Permalinks” section of https://www.raspberrypi.org/learning/lamp-web-server-with-wordpress/worksheet/ .

dcottingham- Glad you were able to solve the issue you ran into!

tmac1926- Sorry you’re having trouble. That’s really strange that Simply Static would have found the main blog page but then none of the individual blog posts. If you have a link to the site (static or non-static version) that might help me figure out what’s going on.
