    Hi @markzoi

Thank you for reaching out! The error message indicates that your access token has expired.

To resolve the issue, I suggest reconnecting your Instagram account by following the steps outlined here.

    Hi @markzoi

Thanks for getting back to us!

In that case, I’d suggest deleting the connected Instagram account from your website entirely. To do this, navigate to Settings > Accounts, then click Delete on the Instagram account you want to remove.

For visual guidance, you can refer to this screenshot.

Please note that deleting your Instagram account won’t delete your feeds. Once you delete your account, your feed will say “Feed has no sources.” It’s missing the source, but all of your feed’s configuration is still there.

After deleting the account, you can try reconnecting it using an access token. You can refer to this documentation to learn more about connecting with an access token.

I hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Hi, thank you for the alternative solution, by paste again the token didn’t work … I had to ask to my client to generate a new token. My client pointing out they didn’t touch the pass for instagram since the old token soo maybe is due to your system bug?

    thank you by the way

    Hi @markzoi

Your token expired on April 1st, 2024, and you’ll need to generate a new access token for security purposes.

Please kindly ask your client to generate a new token, and that should resolve the issue.

I hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

So token has life time, is not mention when you generate it ?? and no notification via dashboard or email when it expire… would it be nice to have this info available. But really thank you for the great plugin and useful replay

    Hi @markzoi

I’m glad to know that the plugin has been useful to you, and I appreciate your kind words!

I understand your concern about the token expiration. You can actually check the expiration date of your access token directly in the plugin. To do so, go to Instagram Feeds > Settings > Accounts, then click on the three dots icon next to your account and select Info. When the pop-up appears, click on View Access Token. Under this section, you’ll be able to see the expiration date of your token.

I hope this helps clarify things. If you have any more questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out!

Thank you for updating this ticket. I’d like to suggest two improvements to simplify token monitoring:

    1. Add the expiration date next to the account feed: This would eliminate the need for users to open the pop-up message and re-enter their password just to view the date. The current process is overly complicated.
    2. Implement a dashboard alert 30 days before token expiration: This reminder would help users proactively manage their tokens. Avoiding to manifest gap time feed from they’s website … (has has happen to me with many clients :()

These changes would make the token monitoring process more intuitive and efficient for users.
