Not Include not working

I found on a random blog which has a tutorial for this plugin, that you can use [donotprint] [/donotprint] to not include certain parts of your post. I am not able to get that code to work, instead it’s showing as text, even though I’m putting it in the ‘text’ window of the editor.

Also, I want the print button to only show on certain posts, but I’m not sure where I can indicate which ones. (It’s only posts that have recipes as a category that I want it on).
