• Original comment: Need I say more. I worked with it for a bit before I noticed that. Why would someone still publish new code that has been end of life for years now.

Updated Comment: Above was the original rating of 1 comment. I think the backwards compatibility of the theme goes so far back it might cause the browser to think it’s an earlier style of HTML but upon opening the source I could see it was not and appears to be what the description states.

Maybe backwards compatibility all the way to XP is not needed anymore.

Thanks for all the hard work!

The description for it says: “Customize is clear, easy to customize WP template. Customize is a modern multi-purpose HTML5 theme with a responsive layout.”

When you view in developer mode the source code says XHTML ….. 1999 etc.

But when you view the source code it doesn’t. My bad, changing my rating to 5 stars, I thought I had been working customizing it and it was outdated. Not sure why it did that. Maybe it’s reading the IE7 and IE8 tags and showing that format as a result.

Thanks for all your hard work.

I have one issue with it I’m sure you can tell me how to correct. It tells me the size to use as the header and I put that size in the page and it appears correct but when shown outside the customize window the image does not fit correctly.

I know a lot of images are 72dpi and not real high quality on the internet. Could the problem be that I’m using a 300dpi image.

What is the correct dpi pixel resolution?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,

Now we understand. In the next version we will add new options for the header image.

The problem is that you say to use a file that is 1300 x 250 but the file you use that seems to work correctly is 960 x 427 at 300dpi.

This is the verbiage when you go to change the header image:
Click “Add new image” to upload an image file from your computer. Your theme works best with an image with a header size of 1300 × 250 pixels — you’ll be able to crop your image once you upload it for a perfect fit.

But when you copy that you also get the below verbiage with it.

    Header Image
    Activate Header Image:
    Hide Overlay:
    Activate Width 100%:
    Custom Height:
    Min-height 200px.
    Background Attachment:
    Image Repaed: <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    Header Shadow:

image repeat is mis-spelled. Tell me which file that is in please so I can correct it without having to hunt for it.

Thanks a bunch. I know there is a lot of work that goes into a theme creation and when you’re working hard and long hours on it, well we’re all only human. Not sure if that was my problem the spelling but I’m going to change my image size and see if that corrects the problem.

Kind regards and hope this helps.

We absolutely understand. The default size is 1135 × 600px and we will change this in the next version. You can change the default size in custom/ink/custom-header.php file Line 10,11
    Thanks for your feedback.
