    That’s a good point. However, wp store locator is designed to rely on a reference point in the map to show nearby locations, so it is always going to need that reference. The start point, as you probably know, can be obtained from one of these sources:

    – The browser’s location, if the user consents
    – The start point in the search form
    – The default start point defined in the settings

    So in your case, I assume you are allowing your browser to track your location, and this is the start point for the store locator, and if you have a default big radius, you are going to see the remote stores with a very zoomed out map. You can play around with these settings:

    – Auto adjust the zoom level to make sure all markers are visible?
    – Initial zoom level
    – Max auto zoom level

    So maybe the right behaviour for you is, if the start point is your location, not to zoom out very much and just show no stores from the other city, if that makes sense to you, but the map is always going to need a start point…
