First, I am thankful for Wordfence, it has been a great tool. But the new dumbed-down Live Traffic pane is not a swift tool. I typically go down through it looking for networks to block, then open each one in a new tab, then go through each one and block it.

Now I can’t do that because the buttons that replaced the perfectly serviceable links for Block This Network will not open in a new tab. So each time, for each one, I need to go back and reload the Live Traffic pane, wait for it to load and scroll down again. One site gets hit on a lot, client has religious content, it is not uncommon for me to have 6-8 tabs to open with ranges to block.

The color-coded threat assessment is fine, it perfectly agrees with what I already assess, but nice to know. But why limit my ability to use the best tool you offer in an efficient manner?

And then there’s the Firewall billboard, which will not go away. Thanks, you put in a new feature, good idea to put its link in the spot for the most popular feature used to be, esp since it doesn’t need to be revisited often, then keep reminding me that I need to use it even if I have something else set up.

Really, sincerely, Wordfence Live Traffic and range blocking is great.

Is there a way to get rid of the Fisher Price buttons and billboard for the firewall?

Tried to revert, now no Live Traffic. Partially works, can get Consumers and Logins, but not Hits.

Adios formerly excellent and useful tool, fare thee well.

Ugh, the new Live Traffic is terrible! No more top 404’s list either? And live traffic on any filtered results keep moving about, how does one click to block an IP?

Sorry to hear that you’re not satisfied with the new Live Traffic layout. I’ve filed a bug to address the issues with using button tags vs anchor tags, and pausing the Live Traffic feed upon scrolling past the first entry or hovering over the buttons. The fix will be available in an upcoming maintenance release.

Why was the server information removed? I use to be able to see what companies were coming into my website through Live Traffic if they were running their own server (most companies name their server after their company name.) This allowed me to know that 100% it was a real person.

    Please put this back on!

What makes Wordfence so special is the Live Traffic function. Get that wrong and people will leave in droves.

I will still rate this plugin as 5 stars for everything else it does.

@gnomag: The hostname will be added in a maintenance release soon as well. This was missed during the redesign and wasn’t intentionally removed.

@aptharsia: A Live Traffic view similar to the top 404s will also be available in an upcoming release, as along with some new filtering/reporting options, but may be a little longer than the other changes here.

Thanks everyone for the input — if you have additional questions/suggestions, please make a new post at the bottom of the page here.

Thanks @wfmattr, I just received update and the host name is back! Thankyou! One thing about the update is that it started fresh removing all visitor information that had previously been in Live Traffic. I can live with that ??

Thanks again. (I really can’t say thanks enough times)
