• Please tell me you are not going to continue with Gutenberg. I think this is the wrong update that has been done on WordPress.

  • Many, many people are unhappy with Gutenberg (including me). Gutenberg still has a lot of bugs that still need to be worked out. It was prematurely released.

    Hey,
thanks for your feedback, we are working on the project to get bugs fixed, get a better workflow and add missing features. Do you have specific bugs why Gutenberg is mot working for you?

Why uncomfortable? Yes, I spent more time writing a simple post than I spent on creating a new design … And why did he rely on him if he was still in the finalization stage?

    Soren,

Do you have an estimate on when an update to fix the bugs will be released? I hope this doesn’t take a long time.

I really do not have any desire to stop using WPPage builder. It’s a mature product that has been working. We are a university with over 400 pages and 300 posts. To stop using WPPage builder would require me to completely redesign the site. I think the developer should have considered how this would affect people who are working on huge sites. It’s fine if you want to develop this page build as a core product for WordPress, but we should not be forced into using it. This reminds me of Microsoft and Vista. The product was so bad that Microsoft had to stop making Vista OS and go to Windows 7. I’m really hoping that is what happens with Gutenberg – either make is optional ONLY or remove it completely.

    Hiya,

The Gutenberg project (which is actually a revamp of many areas, the editor was the first phase) will keep moving forward, there’s no changing that.

I’m not familiar with WPPage Builder, but if it’s the one I’m looking at, they claim to be compatible with the new editing interface introduced in WordPress 5.0, so this shouldn’t be a problem using it. If you are experiencing issues with it after this I’d recommend reaching out to them to see if it’s something that can be fixed.

As for when any potentially found bugs are resolved, that depends on the bug, if it’s been reported yet, and how it aligns with upcoming releases, it’s hard to give an exact date but you can follow along with tickets for bugs and enhancements on the project page at https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues
