• It just creates a separate page not part of your theme files so all your theme styling including header & footer get removed, also the page breaks the SSL.

  • @jdstiger – that’s an interesting point of view.

Creating files outside of theme files – that’s simply how plugins work ?? We can’t go around creating files inside your themes files. What would happen when you’d uninstall/remove the theme? Would the 404 page also get lost? ??

Plugins are built in such a way you don’t loose anything when switching themes.

However, your comment on including header & footers is actually quite valid. I’ve opened up a support ticket with our development team about this (which you can also follow here: https://github.com/ColorlibHQ/colorlib-404-customizer/issues/20) and it’ll be addressed in our next update.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review – it’s highly appreciated.

We value user feedback as it helps us identify pain points in our plugins and improve them.

    Have a great day ahead,
    Cristian.
