Not giving me setting menu in my wordpress

    When I activate the plugin it says it is activated fine but when I look at my setting tab for the settings, it isn’t there. When I try to go to the URL of the setting page “mywebsite.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=google-map-shortcode” it give me the error – “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” I have used this plugin on similar site using the same exact hosting with the same exact plugins. I have had no luck what so ever figuring out why it is doing this. Any Help?

  • There is no settings page for this plugin. You simply enter a short code on the post or page you want to show the map on, such as:

    [pw_map address="New York City"]

    I understand that, but it doesn’t cover the short code to the map, which I believe is directly related to the fact that there is no setting tab and it says I am not allowed permissions to view those options when I try to visit the URL directly. There is a setting under “Google Map Short code Settings” in the setting area that allows you to set your default setting. This is not showing and the short code is not displaying the map and instead is displaying the short code.

    You must be thinking of another similar plugin. This plugin has no settings page at all and never has.

    Where are you getting that URL?

    Wow, I’m the biggest idiot ever. I’m very sorry. you are correct. I have confused “Simple Google Maps Short Code” with “Google Map Shortcode” thank you for providing quick support for someone else’s plugin. Thank you and very sorry to waist you time.
