Thanks for pointing to this. I can confirm this problem. It occurs if a member has no topics created yet. I’ve analyzed it and it seems that bbPress fires the 404_template filter hook in case a members profile page is displayed for a member who has no topcis created. I have to do some more research but as far as I can judge yet it seems to be a bbPress problem. If it is so maybe the bbPress developers are willing to fix it. If not I can bypass it. But I want to be absolutely sure first…

OK, I’ve traced the problem to its source now. I could fix it in my plugin but that would only bypass a problem that is definitely caused by bbPress. So I’ve created a topic in the bbPress forum and described the problem. Let’s see what happens.

I see it’s not resolved yet in the thread you started at bbPress.org.
Just want to let you know I encountered the same problem. Indeed it doesn’t matter whether user has started a topic or not.

Hope you will update in this thread once a solution is made.
Thanks for your nice plugin and the time you spend on it!

Thanks for joining the conversation. Because it seems not to be solved by bbPress I decided to include a special method to eliminate this problem. For me this is an unsatisfactory solution because it’s definitely a bbPress problem. Anyway, it has to be solved, so I will fix it. Actually i wanted to do that in December, but I did not had time yet. I’ll fix it as soon as possible.

It seems the bbPress team plan to fix that issue in bbPress 2.7 (currently they are working on 2.6). However, I’ve fixed the problem with 404page version 4. Please let me know if everything works fine.

No more response since one month. Everything worked fine in my tests. Marked as resolved.
