• I can not seem to get this program to run correctly. I tried a couple of test posts and got an error message stating that the file could not be found on this directory, but it gave me a huge url that included https://localhost:8888/wordpress/wp-admin/ followed by my own website’s url and I don’t know where or how to alter this setting.

I also tried changing the blog address in the options and now I’m getting this error message and can’t do a danged thing now:
    “Not Found

The requested URL /wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

What did I do wrong? How do I fix the settings to get this program up and running?
    Thanks.

I decided to log out and try logging in again to see if that helped. Now, when I log in and see a white screen, (instead of the blue screen I used to see), and this screen has all the headers running straight down the page but when I click on any of them, such as “dashboard” I receive the following error:
    Not Found

The requested URL /wp-admin/index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Prior to all of these problems I had downloaded and installed a new theme into the theme folder…. The theme showed up and I had clicked on it to select it. Not sure where the problem is.
    Can someone please help me?
