• This product is 3X better than Marketpress but it still needs improvement.

The biggest problem for me was dealing with image sizes and CSS issues. The software authors should spend more time giving the WP user more control/options over image size and image placement. Using this with a non-woo theme is not recommended unless you have a lot of time and money to spend working out CSS compatibility issues. Support is slow but does come. My single request for help took about 72 hours to get a reply. I did get a reply but only after hiring a CSS specialist and solving the problem myself. Still it’s free and they provide free support and that does say a lot.

IMO this is probably the best eCommerce plugin for WordPress.

Thanks for the rating and I’m glad you like WooCommerce.

Regarding your CSS issue, I’d love to comment on this and perhaps explain our direction but you don’t actually state in your review what the problem was?

Images in product archives and details pages can easily be removed / rearranged assuming your familiar with hooks. All the thumbnail sizes can be controlled from the dashboard (but remember some themes may alter the size of these thumbnails on the frontend).

We also have a guide for integrating third party themes with WooCommerce, not sure if you saw that?

    Thank you for your reply.

    My issues are as follows:

    Website: https://www.bitcoinranger.com

    1) The first one was involving thumbnail placement on the featured product sidebar widget. So I hired a CSS consultant who had to modify “class-wc-widget-featured-products.php” in order to get the thumbnails to appear under the product description. My understanding is that this change will not survive future updates.

    2) The second problem that apparently is well documented is the lack of native support within Woocommerce for control over the image size on the product page. A google search with keywords like blurry images etc returns a VAST number of discussions on this topic.

Overall, I’m very satisfied with your product and have already purchased an additional gateway.

    1. Hmm I don’t see the product description on your featured products widget? That is correct though, if that file has been modified it will not survive the update. Having said that, changing the image size could be done easily enough with CSS (in your theme). No need to edit core files.

    2. This is generally down to the themes manipulation of the thumbnail sizes. You can read all about this in this document.
