Sorry for the confusion @pilzmart, but the fact critical CSS generation is a paying subscription is not really hidden?
1. on the “critical CSS” tab in Autoptimize;
That is where the “Autoptimize Critical CSS Power-Up” can help; you install it, add a criticalcss.com API key (paying subscription required) and the power-up will automatically create rules with criticalcss.com generated critical CSS.
2. on the critical css power-up page on www.remarpro.com;
For this purpose the plugin integrates with criticalcss.com, a 3rd party service, to have it generate the critical CSS (see FAQ for info on pricing).
3. on the power-up page itself after installing;
The next step is to sign up at https://criticalcss.com (this is a premium service, priced 2 GBP/month for membership and 5 GBP/month per domain) and get the API key, which you can copy from the API-keys page and paste below.
