• I paid $99 for this plugin and 3 weeks later I uninstalled it and requested a refund which was denied. This plugin is more like 10 plugins, you have to install another one of their plugins and another so on and so on for more features.

@intercept780 – thanks for taking the time to write a review here.

We stand behind our products 100% and sometimes, we do have issues with them. We work REALLY HARD to fix these issues for our users and we TOTALLY UNDERSTAND when there’s an issue with our product that’s not delivering on the promised functionality. However, This wasn’t the case here. You decided to go with another plugin.

Excerpt taken from our private ticketing system: “You have a great product, however, I ended up going with another plugin that had features for product reviews.”

I’m not one to enforce our 14-day no questions asked money-back guarantee, but, in this particular case, there was nothing wrong with our product and you’ve requested a refund outside of the 14-days.

This is a great piece on the subject of refunds in the context of WordPress plugin shops IMHO: https://easydigitaldownloads.com/blog/the-reality-of-refunds-for-digital-products/.

Re. “the plugin is more like 10 plugins”:

It’s (up to) 10 extensions on top of the LITE (free version) plugin. We choose this route because not everyone wants a behemoth of a plugin that contains all the code and functionality. More so, this doesn’t affect performance in any way. At least, not in the way we’ve coded them. It’s also one way to make it cheaper and more accessible, where the most commonly asked for functionalities are on the cheaper pricing packages.

All in all, I’m sorry you’ve had a poor experience with our product and I can only hope you’ve found one that better suits your needs.

    Much love,
    /Cristian.

To be clear, your plugin doesn’t have to be broken or have something “wrong with it” as you mentioned”. It might work well for many people and it might be what they are looking for, but it did not have the features I was looking for. Instead of trying to use your product for free, I purchased it and this was my error and this is the thanks I get… You wrote that you are not one to enforce your 14-day policy, but you just did. You are “not sorry or have much love” so why write these things? You can try to rebuke my review, but you’ve basically proven to your audience that you only give refunds if the plugin “has something wrong with it or it is broken” You are behind the times with a 14-day policy and yes, you could have been more understanding and avoided all of this.

    Cheers!

Hey @intercept780 – thanks for following up! Wanted to jump in here to elaborate on a couple of things for the sake of context.

First off, I am beyond sorry for the rough experience. We strive to offer a quality plugin and stellar support and we clearly failed to meet your expectations.

Regarding the plugin needing to be broken – I apologize for the confusion, there seems to be a misunderstanding here. What @cristianraiber-1 was trying to say was that we would’ve happily offer a refund outside the 14 days money back guarantee if the plugin was unusable. We have a pretty standard refund policy (14 days guarantee mentioned on our website) which should give you plenty of time to install and test the plugin. If the plugin is not for you and things don’t work out we offer a refund – no questions asked. In your case, the plugin fell short of your expectations and requirements and we would’ve happily offer a refund if within the 14 days window.

You’ve basically proven to your audience that you only give refunds if the plugin “has something wrong with it or it is broken”

I would like to take a moment to address this, because I think you may be missing a key point. If you were within 14 days of your purchase we’d be more than happy to offer a refund. @cristianraiber-1 did not say we only honor refund requests if there is something wrong with the plugin. He was explaining your particular case and refund request. I am sorry we gave you the impression that we’re only honoring refunds if there is something wrong with the plugin, that is false.

Thanks again for writing in – our apologies for letting you down.

    Sincerely,
    Mihaela
