not filtering photos when a variation is selected

hi,
this is not working in my site.
I add new photos to my existing products and while adding i select the corresponding variable in the image selection window for that variable.
after i hit finish and update the product, in the product single page I see all the photos I added!
and when I select a variable, nothing changes and all the photos are showing…
I am using Flatsome 3.0 theme. is there a reason for this behaviour???
