• I was fairly excited to find this plugin/widget and I will say adding content is easy as is SOME of the style options, being font, font color, text alignment, etc.

BUT and this is a big “but” after hours of coding a custom theme, there is no apparent way to style or override the inherited styles that the plug in “wears”. For instance, it inherited an h4 class I had designed which was okay but the background color it inherited from the content element and not the div element it was placed in. Like wise the whole display area did the same. I searched and searched for documentation or where to look in the plugin files to make changes. Overrides in the CSS using the #news-announcement-scroll id and .widget_news_announcement class (both pulled from firebug) and nothing worked. The div obviously floats left as the “center align” content is not centered under the title.

Has promise but I have spent more hours than I needed to to get this to fit my theme. I am on to find something else.
