Unable to display latest pins from user cottagepaint. Shortcode is [fts_pinterest type=pins_from_user pinterest_name=cottagepaint pins_count=6]. I did set up my pinterest access token in the settings. allow_url_fopen is turned on.

I just get the fts-pinterest-wrapper div, but no child elements are generated. Here’s my system info

Thanks for all the info and great looking site too! So did you click the button to get your access token or did you follow the steps on our site? Here https://www.slickremix.com/docs/how-to-create-a-pinterest-access-token/

Usually clicking the button seems to work best and also make sure the site pinterest account you are trying to access is yours for this particular feed type.

It’s also worth double checking to see if the boards option works too just to see if the plugin is working proper. Let me know how it goes ??

Thanks for the response. I created a new pinterest account called dolcedev in order to get an access token. User cottagepaint is not mine, however, even if I enter dolcedev into the shortcode, it does not show my test pin that I just created.

    [fts_pinterest type=pins_from_user pinterest_name=dolcedev pins_count=6]

    https://www.pinterest.ca/dolcedev/pins/

It should be showing that dummy image. I did in fact click the button to automatically get the token.

Oddly, it is now showing my pin on my pinterest account that I created. I suppose it just needed some time?

Anyway, I’d still like to be able to display my client’s pins, rather than my own. Do I need to generate a new access code while logged in to their pinterest account? I didn’t think I’d have to use their account, but I suppose that’s how pinterest works?

You would have to login as your clients account to get pins from that account. Oddly that is the only one that requires there access token specifically. Or you can have the client give it to you too, it’s fairly simple to do or you can just have the client click the button for you on the Pinterest Options page. https://www.slickremix.com/docs/how-to-create-a-pinterest-access-token/
