Why do you consider this a disadvantage? When it comes to optimizing your images, the most important thing is to weigh the images as lightly as possible.
If you would like to convert all images regardless of their size, you can do so. Uncheck “Automatic removal of WebP files larger than original” option in the plugin settings and convert all images again. The decision is yours. The plugin allows both varians.
I am sorry that you rate the plugin so low and you did not try to let me know about it first. However, I hope you will rethink your assessment. I will be very grateful.
