Not connecting to www.remarpro.com

    I installed a fresh, new WP on a fresh, new installation of XAMPP. Database is working fine, have my vhosts all set up and matched up, everything is displaying fine… but if I try to go to Add New for plugins or themes, I get the vague error message: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.remarpro.com or this server’s configuration.”

    I have used WP 4.0.1 on XAMPP (multiple older versions) before though without any such trouble. The only notable thing I can think of that I did any different from usual is that I changed the database prefix during setup. It doesn’t really make sense for a provided option to do something like this, though.

  • Changing your database prefix won’t cause that error.

    Is that the entire message, or is there additional information that references not being able to establish a secure connection?

    I can’t log into my site. My site is almost finished, but this is what comes up…
    No images, formatting etc. Also I can’t access the dashboard.

    NACHA Sessions

    Attend an information session with NACHA (Northern Alberta Co-operative Housing Association) to learn more about the benefits and responsibilities of joining a housing co-op.

    Sessions are held every month at the Stanley Milner Library from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The information session costs $10.00. Call NACHA at 482-6128 to reserve your place at the next session.

    Sundance Orientations

    All applicants are required to attend a Sundance Orientation to learn more about our co-op. Orientations are held three times a year. Applications for membership are made available at the end of the orientation. There is an application fee of $20 to cover the cost of your credit check.

    Saturday, February 7, 2015
    2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
    8803-101 Avenue
    Sundance Place Common Room (bsmt.)

    A light snack will be provided. Ample street parking is available on 101 Avenue. Call 780-426-0860 for more information.

    Vacancies are filled from our waiting list according to seniority, income and family size. We are committed to a one-third split of members with high, middle and low incomes. Currently there are no vacancies available.

    The complete stuff I get is…

    That appears once on Add Themes and twice on Add Plugins. On Add Plugins, this also appears under Popular Tags:

    I haven’t touched anything there though.

    I re-installed WP with all the same settings, and it seems to be working now.
