Not connecting to Mail chimp
-
Hello there!
I have a new website, and didn’t take it public yet. I have been
experimenting with forms and mail chimp automation email, and integration to wordpress with the mailchimp-for-wp plugin for the last few
days (everything was working fine). While working a few days ago, I have noticed that the form on my website does not
get sent properly and the list does not get updated. My API doesn’t get connected.
This is the error I get: “MailChimp returned the following error:
Service Unavailable.”I looked up a few forums and they say my IP address may be blacklisted on
Akamai firewall.I contacted Mail chimp support, and it seems that there is a problem with the IP, and I dont know exactly what.
After a few messages back and forth, we came to a conclusion that we need to isolate the problem, by getting more information that the mailchimp-for-wp support team can find.
This is the Email:
“Though, I do want to help you as much as I can, you may want to reach out to MailChimp for WordPress support. You can then request them to make a verbose cURL request from the IP address of your WordPress server that would make a connection to our site and return the details of that connection showing if there were any issues.
For reference that API call would look like this:
curl -v https://us1.api.mailchimp.com/3.0/?apikey=test
Replace us1 with the characters in the end or your API key, after the minus sign.
Replace test with the entire API key.If that returns a different error or reference number than that most likely is an Akamai block. With that error or reference number we would then be able to perform a search on that within our system to acquire details about what is happening with that connection, and what could be done to resolve that issue.”
The IP is: 88.99.217.197
API key: 644ebdf3cebb607b1bbefb4724723157-us16
The site is https://therealgardeners.com/I will very much appreciate your help, if you can isolate what is the real problem here.
Thank you!
