Thanks, it must be a plugin conflict even though the only change I made was installing the new theme.

I can confirm this with Minimum Pro (3.0). I just upgraded from 2.0. There are 4 widget areas, EACH having an instance of Simple Social. If the settings are not identical, then all of the instances remain set on the default settings. Not to big of a deal once you realize it, but I was trying to set different settings for each one.

I’m having the same issue with the icons in Minimum Pro. It’s a shame, as I wanted a different hover color for each icon. For example, I sampled the Twitter page to use that color for my Twitter icon, the Google+ page to use it’s color for that icon, etc.

However, my experience is the same as others here. Whatever the last social media icon you install is the color for all previous widgets. Would be nice if they would act independently for colors.

    Wbeem,

It appears that the hover color is controlled by CSS and each of the individual icons has a unique class indicator e.g. social-facebook, social-gplus etc.

Couldn’t you create a hover definition in CSS that was unique to each of these icons?

I don’t see the hover situation as being the same situation as what we were discussing. Our issue was that every widget occurrence needed the same settings in terms of size etc. (stuff defined in the widget itself). If they are all the same, it works as in the demo. The stuff in CSS is independent and therefore you can control each one individually so long as you identify each items class selector in Firebug.
