    That sounds like an issue with the Alt WebP Rewriting, otherwise EWWW never alters your front-end pages. If you have that enabled, try disabling it and clearing all caches. If you don’t have it enabled, then it isn’t EWWW.

    Thank you for your reply. Yes, I can confirm this issue caused by the “Alternative WebP Rewriting”. I have tested by enabled and disabled that option.

    FYI, the Cache Enabler plugin has a feature to do webp rewriting that doesn’t break pages, since it is implemented at the cache level. Also, WP Rocket is looking at implementing a similar feature.
