Not compatible with child themes

Hi,
I’ve tried using your plugin with a child theme but it breaks the lay-out (header.php is missing). Everything works great when I switch back to the main theme.
I guess it’s just a matter of making sure that header.php etc are properly loaded so some minor adjustments should fix this. I hope you can help me out.
