Not compatible with "Canada Post Shipping Method" WooCommerce plugin

    If you have a coupon and only want that coupon to be valid for certain shipping methods, you can enter the desired shipping methods under the “Checkout” tab in the plugin settings.

    However if you use the Canada Post plugin for WooCommerce called “Canada Post Shipping Method” and select “Canada Post” as one of the shipping methods that allows the coupon to be used, the coupon will not work at all and will return the error “The coupon is not valid for the currently selected shipping method.” even though a Canada Post shipping method is indeed being selected.

    Please try the dev version, this fixes an incompatibility with some shipping methods and WC 2.6. Let me know if it fixes the issue for you.

    I’m happy to say that the dev version works with the Canada Post shipping method! Much thanks for the helpful advice Soft79.

    Will these compatibility fixes eventually be added to the stable version?

    Awesome!

    After further testing and updating WooCommerce (and I think this may have to do with WC) when using “Free Shipping” as one of the shipping methods for a coupon, it gives me the same error as I was having with the Canada Post method (“The coupon is not valid for the currently selected shipping method”).

    Funny enough the Free Shipping method worked fine earlier today when I was using the stable release along with whatever version of WC I was using before updating.

    Now I noticed that WC is deprecating the Free Shipping method and wants us to use shipping zones instead but the Free Shipping method is still available for use (for now) and it should be working with this plugin? Unless I am overlooking something and the new version of WC (or the dev build of this plugin) arent compatible anymore with using Free Shipping as a required method for coupons.

    Works fine on my end. Can you send a screenshot of coupon settings and an url to reproduce the issue?

    PS: Are you sure you are selecting the right ‘Free Shipping’-method? If you use the Legacy Free Shipping Method, you must also select Legacy on the coupon page.

    Brilliant! I didn’t even realize that there were two free shipping options and it works perfectly when the legacy option is selected.

    I hope I’m not repeating, but I also use the Canada Post shipping plugin. I offer free shipping on orders of $150.00 and more in United States and Canada. I’m not sure how to set that up
